So we strive to be upon the 'aqeedah of the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, his Sahaaba and the Imaams of the Salaf. And we are not upon the aqeedah of Abul Hasan Al Ash'aree (in the first part of his life), nor the 'aqeedah of Abu Mansoor Al Matureedi, nor the 'aqeedah of Ja'd and Jahm, nor the 'Aqeedah of ibn Kullaab, nor anyone after them that opposed the way of the Companions. Allaah ta'ala said: "So if they believe as you believe (i.e. You O Muhammad and your Companions), then they are surely guided. And if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. Allaah will suffice you against them and He is the Hearer, Knower." And Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah are one group, not many groups...as the principle is stated: Al Haqqu Waahid, Laa Yata'addad. The Truth is One, Not many. And Allaah said: "And verily this is My Straight Path, so follow it! And do not follow the other paths for they will mislead you from His Path..." |
