![]() A Reminder for Trinidad Muslims: The Sutrah and our Salaah ![]() Some advices to my fellow Muslim brothers in Trinidad and Tobago. Please share, to help revive these sunnahs. BarakAllahu feekum. The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, what means, "Whoever invites to goodness will have a reward like all those who follow him in that, without their rewards decreasing in the least..." (Muslim) (1) Its importance and obligation Abu Dharr (radhiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “When one of you stands for Salaah, there should be an object before him, like a saddle...[to the end of the hadith]” [Sahih Muslim, As-Salaah, Chapter: The limit of the Sutrah for the one who is praying, Hadith 510] Narrated Nafi: Ibn Umar (radhiAllahu anhumah) said: “The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to make his she-camel sit across and he would offer Salaah facing it (as a Sutra).” I asked, “whould would the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) do if the she-camel was provoked and moved?” He said, “he (salallahu alayhiwasallam) would take it’s camel-saddle and put it in front of him and offer Salah facing its back part (as a Sutra)” And Ibn Umar (radhiAllahu anhumah) used to do the same. (This indicated that one should not offer Salaah except behind a Sutra). [Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of as-Salaah, Chapter: To offer as-Salaah facing a Rahila (mount) a camel, a tree, or a camel-saddle (etc, as a Sutra), Hadith 507]. Notes:
