Should I Reply to the Salam when Im Reading the Quran? ? Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan
Questioner: If Im reading the Quran and then a person approaches and greets me, do I reply to his greeting or finish the verse (first)? Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan: Finish the verse and then reply to his greeting. It has not been prescribed to greet the one who is reading the Quran as this will disturb him and cut his recitation. Therefore, greet him when he has finished reading.
