The Best Enjoyment in the Worldly Life | Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen Shaykh Muhammad*Saalih al-Uthaymeen: Then the author cited the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn ‘Aahs that the Prophet ? said: “The worldly life is enjoyment, and the best of its enjoyments is a good woman”. The worldly life is enjoyment, meaning: something which is enjoyed like how a traveller enjoys his (traveling) provision, and then it finishes. The best of its enjoyments is a good woman. When Allah gives a person the success to marry a good woman in terms of her religion (righteousness), and her mental capacity, then this is the best enjoyment of the worldly life because she will preserve him in regards to his secrets, wealth and children, and if she is good in her mental capacity also, then she will organise things properly in his (her husbands) house and in regards to nurturing her children. If he observes her, she is pleasing to him and if he is absent, she preserves him (his honour) and if he entrusts her with the children she does not betray him.
