033 - Soorah al-Ahzaab - (The Confederates) - [Madanee]
[033:055] It is no sin on them (the Prophet's wives, if they appear unveiled) before their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brother's sons, or the sons of their sisters, or their own (believing) women, or their (female) slaves. And (O ladies), fear (keep your duty to) Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Ever All-Witness over everything.
[033:056] Allâh sends His Salât (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and also His angels (ask Allâh to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salât on (ask Allâh to bless) him (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islâmic way of greeting (salutation, i.e. As-Salâmu 'Alaikum).
[033:057] Verily, those who annoy Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], Allâh has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment.
[033:058] And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, they bear (on themselves) the crime of slander and plain sin.
[033:059] O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[033:060] If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease (evil desire for illegal sex), and those who spread false news among the people in Al-Madinah stop not, We shall certainly let you overpower them, then they will not be able to stay in it as your neighbours but a little while.
[033:061] Accursed, they shall be seized wherever found, and killed with a (terrible) slaughter.
[033:062] That was the way of Allâh in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the way of Allâh.
(V.33:56). Narrated 'Abdur-Rahmân bin Abu Laila: Ka'b bin 'Ujrah met me and said, "Shall I not give you a present I got from the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]?" 'Abdur-Rahmân said, "Yes, give it to me." He said, "We asked Allâh's Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] saying, 'O Allâh's Messenger! How should one (ask Allâh to) send As-Salât upon you and the Ahl-al-Bait (the members of the family of the Prophet ), for Allâh has taught us how to greet you?' He said, 'Say: Allâhumma salli 'alâ Muhammadin wa 'alâ âli Muhammadin, kamâ sallaita 'alâ Ibrâhîma wa 'alâ âli Ibrâhîm, Innaka Hamidun Majîd. Allâhumma bârik 'alâ Muhammadin wa 'alâ âli Muhammadîn kamâ bârakta 'alâ Ibrâhîma wa 'alâ âli Ibrâhîm, Innaka Hamidun Majîd.' [O Allâh! Send Your Salât (Graces, Honours and Mercy) on Muhammad and on the family or the followers of Muhammad, as You sent Your Salât (Graces, Honours and Mercy) on Abraham and on the family or the followers of Abraham, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allâh! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad, and on the family or the followers of Muhammad as You sent your Blessings on Abraham and on the family or the followers of Abraham, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.' " [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/3375 (O.P.589)]
