7 Reminders for Trini Muslims (Purification)

:ar_bismillah2:

Some advices to my fellow Muslim brothers in Trinidad and Tobago. Please share, to help revive these sunnahs. BarakAllahu feek. The Prophet :saw: said, "Whoever invites to goodness will have a reward like all those who follow him in that, without their rewards decreasing in the least..." (Muslim)

(1) Answering the call of nature in public places

Abu Hurairah :anhu: narrated that the Messenger of Allaah :saw: said:
“Save yourself from two acts which are cause of being cursed.” The companions asked, “What are those acts?” The Prophet said, “Answering the call of nature on public roads and under trees which people use as shade.” [Muslim; Purification, Chapter: Prohibition of defecating to relieve oneself on roads or in shades, Hadith 269]

(2) Touching the private parts with the right hand

Abu Qatadah :anhu: narrated: Allaah’s Messenger :saw: said:
“Whenever anyone of you drinks water, he should not breathe in the drinking utensil, and whenever any one of you goes to the lavatory, he should neither touch his private part nor clean his private parts wit his right hand.”[al-Bukhari, Wudu, Chapter: It is forbidden to clean the private parts with the right hand. Hadith 153]

(3) Urinating into a hole

Abdullah bin Surgis :anhu: narrated:
“The Prophet :saw: has forbidden for anyone to urinate into a hole” **
[Abu Dawood, Purification, Chapter: prohibition from urinating into a hole, Hadith 29]

** meaning if one comes upon a hole in the ground that is not usually used for urinating or defecating in. This is because it may be the home of an animal or Jinn, and urinating or defecating in it will harm the creature residing in it. [from the book: Prayer According to the Sunnah, Zulfiqar, Darussalam]

(4) Urinating in the bath area

Abdullah bin Mughaffal :anhu: narrated, “Allah’s Messenger :saw: said:
“Do not any of you urinate in his bathing area.”
[Abu Dawood, Purification, Chapter: About urinating in a bath area, Hadith 27]

(5) Severe Pressure of the call of nature invalidates the Salaah

The Prophet :saw: said:
“He who has to answer the call of nature, he should first do so, and then perform the salah”
[Abu Dawood, Purification, Chapter: What should one do if one has to answer the call of nature, Hadith 89]

Allaah’s Messenger :saw: said:
“When one has his meal before him, or one is under severe pressure to relieve himself, one’s prayer is not valid.” [Muslim, Mosques, Abhorring the prayer in the presence of meal, Hadith 560]
(6) Ghusl on a Friday

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri :anhu: narrated that Allaah’s Messenger :saw: said:
“Bathing on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained the age of puberty and (also) the cleaning of his teeth with Siwak (miswak), and the use of perfume, if available.”
[al-Bukhari, Al-Jumu’ah, Chapter: to perfume (oneself) before going for Friday prayer, Hadith 880]

(7) Rinsing the mouth after drinking milk (before Salah)

Ibn Abbas :anhu: narrated:
The Messenger of Allaah :saw: drank milk, rinsed his mouth and said: “it has fat.”
[al-Bukhari, Wudhu, Chapter: Whether to rinse the mouth after drinking milk, Hadith 211]
