GreenBook 10 Benefits on at-Taqwa as Stated in the Noble Quran

10 Benefits on at-Taqwa as Stated in the Noble Quran

Taken from a talk given by Dr. Saleh as-Saleh from Sh. Uthaymeen’s book. See here:

Definitions of Taqwa
Sh. Uthaymeen’s definition: “The most comprehensive and general statement pertaining to its meaning is to take protection against Allah’s punishment by executing His commands and keeping away from His prohibitions”. Others have mentioned: To act in Allah’s obedience and a light from Allah, seeking Allah’s Reward and fearing Allah’s punishment.

Benefit (1): Taqwah is the cause of attaining the Guidance of the Quran. [Al-Baqarah 002.002] This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

Benefit (2): Taqwah is the cause for Success
[002.005] They (who have Taqwah) are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful.

Benefit (3): It is the cause for Benefiting from Admonitions
[002.066] So We made this punishment an example to their own and to succeeding generations and a lesson to those who are Al-Muttaqûn

Benefit (4): Taqwa is a cause for attaining rewards from Allaah
[002.103] And if they had believed and guarded themselves from evil and kept their duty to Allâh, far better would have been the reward from their Lord, if they but knew!

Benefit (5): The True Virtue is due to at-Taqwah
[002.189] ... It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness) that you enter the houses from the back, but Al-Birr (is the quality of the one) who fears Allâh.

Benefit (6): A means of Prosperity
[002.189] ... and fear Allâh that you may be successful.

Benefit (7): The special companionship of Allah is attained through Taqwah.
[002.194] ... And fear Allâh, and know that Allâh is with Al-Muttaqûn

Benefit (8): It is a means of achieving security from the Punishment of Allaah.
[002.196] And fear Allâh much and know that Allâh is Severe in punishment

Benefit (9) It is the best of Provisions.
[002.197] ...And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness). So fear Me, O men of understanding!

Benefit (10) Those qualified with Taqwa are above the people on the Day of Resurrection. [002.212] ... But those who obey Allâh's Orders and keep away from what He has forbidden, will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allâh gives (of His bounty, Blessings, Favours, and Honours on the Day of Resurrection) to whom He wills without limit.
Sahih al-Bukhari No. 6057. Narrated Aisha (ra):The Prophet was asked, "What deeds are loved most by Allah?" He said, "The most regular constant deeds even though they may be few." He added, 'Don't take upon yourselves, except the deeds which are within your ability." Reciter: al-Ajmy...Surah al-Faatihah - (The Opening: First Chapter of the Quran) (The text) | Ayatul Kursee (reciter: as-Shuraym; Tafseer;)

Shaikh Rabee' said: It is upon you to place emphasis on your time. It is compulsory for a Salafi student of knowledge to not waste his time.
