Default End of the world 2012?

So lately i'm hearing alot about "things going to happen in 2012"

I heard:
1. Nos-tro-da-mus predicted world end in 2012
2. The Mayans (who read the stars to tell the future) predicted world end in 2012.
3. There is a movie coming out about world end in 2012 (Movie premiers Nov 09)

What do you all think? Surely Allah knows best (when the world will end). Just want your views if you heard the same and what are your thoughts.

Default Re: End of the world 2012?

Assalamu Alaikum,

This matter my dear brother is a matter that deals with the unseen. And Allah ta'ala he said: "And he has the keys to the unseen no one knows it except him..." And he said: "Allah has the knowledge of the hour and sends the rain and knows what is within the womb and no one knows what he will do tomorrow and no one knows where they will die..." And also in the Hadeeth of Jibreel narrated in Saheeh Muslim the Prophet (Salallahu Alaihi wa sallam) was asked by Jibreel: "When is the hour." And the Prophet (Salallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The one who is being asked is not more knowledgeable than the one asking."

This Hadeeth is an evidence upon these people themselves because if the Prophet (Salallahu Alaihi wa sallam) knew the hour he would have told us. Because there was no good except he taught it to us and there is no evil except that he warned us against it.

And the one who says he knows the hour or says that he knows the unseen is from the Tawagheet in fact he would be from the heads of them since he would be speaking about something that only Allah has knowledge about.

A third matter is trying to read the future from the stars. This in Arabic is called Tanjeem and it is completly unlawful. And according to a Hadeeth of the Messenger (Salallahu Alaihi wa sallam) : "Whomsoever comes to a sorcerer and believes what he says has disbelieved in what Muhammad has sent." And as reported in another Hadeeth that those who just go to them alone their prayer is not accepted for 40 days.

Therefore Nostradamus is a Taaghut and those who say they know the unseen are Tawagheet without doubt.

Therefore upon us is to learn about Tawheed so that we may worship Allah with a proper worship and also we must learn about Shirk and its aspects so that we would stay away from it.

Allahu 'Alam
