107 - Soorah al-Maa'oon - (The Small Kindnesses) - [Makkee]
In the Name of All‚h, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
[107:001] Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?
[107:002] That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),
[107:003] And urges not on the feeding of Al-MiskÓn (the needy),
[107:004] So, woe to those performers of Sal‚t (prayers) (hypocrites),
[107:005] Those who delay their Sal‚t (prayer from their stated fixed times).
[107:006] Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),
[107:007] And withhold Al-M‚'Żn (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).
(V.107:2) Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd [radhi-yAll‚hu 'anhu]: The Prophet [sal-All‚hu 'alayhi wa sallam] said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 8/6005 (O.P.34)]
(V.107:3) Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAll‚hu 'anhu]: The Prophet [sal-All‚hu 'alayhi wa sallam] said, "The one who looks after a widow or a needy person is like a Muj‚hid (fighter) who fights for All‚h's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day."
[Sahih Al-Bukhari, 7/5353 (O.P.265)]
